Ryan

This is Ryan six months ago...just one week after he was diagnosed. He doesn't look like this anymore. The radiation, the steroids and the cancer itself has done a number on his body. But, his eyes remain the same. That is what I fell in love with, his smiling eyes. Please pray for my husband. Please pray for the father of my four boys. Especially today. He is almost to the point where he cannot walk. We need your mighty prayers to lift his spirits, and if it is God's will...to provide the miracle we so desperately yearn for.

Bless each of you for being such a wonderful support to me, and my family.

  21. Found your blog today and know that you can't have the emotional resource to focus on anything right now but the miracle you need and believe in. I can't fast, but I am praying that our Father will bless you with that miracle yo desire.

  22. Many prayers to your family now as you face your new reality with an angel watching over you. I am a type 1 diabetic and both of my children are stable in their battle against cancer. I pray that you find peace knowing Ryan is no longer suffering. There are no words I can offer to ease your pain. I just want you all to know hat I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you.

  23. Did I miss something? I'm not a twitter user so maybe there's news there, but from reading this post RYAN IS STILL ALIVE. Meri just wants our prayers for healing for Ryan and endurance for her family. Let's not bury Ryan before he's truly dead.

  24. Meri, if you or your boys ever need someone to talk to, I'll be here along with many others who care about you and your family. I've never lost a spouse and can only dimly imagine what that must be like, but I lost a father when I was 12 years old and remember that experience very vividly.

Moral support, a place to vent, emergency chocolate from Seattle... just let me know.
